What is it?
The pulley wheel is what pulls and turns the rope. It is made from two pieces of rubber tyre and a metal frame
It is very important to tension the rope correctly. To check the rope is the correct tension, follow the following steps:
- Take the rope between thumb and forefinger
- Turn your hand
- If it is too tight, it will cut the guide and rope and be too hard to turn
- If a quarter turn can be completed comfortably, the rope tension is ok
- If it is too loose, the rope will slip or come off the wheel
