What is it?
- A ball of stiff clay will hold together if dropped
- Made from compressed fine lake silt deposits from many years ago
- This soil will not release water
- It can get stuck in the drill pipe and clog it. Drilling should therefore cut the clay into small pieces that won't clog
- This soil will not collapse
